Swinn Digital ("we", "us") is a Melbourne-based web studio. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, how we use it, and the choices you have. When you contact us or become a client, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and the details of your enquiry or project. If you use the domain checker, the names you search are sent to the relevant domain registries to check availability, and aren't linked to you.

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We don't send marketing emails without your consent, and you can opt out of anything non-essential at any time.

Like most websites, we may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, approximate location, device type. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally. Our contact form uses a hidden anti-spam field rather than tracking-based captchas. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to this site.
Third-party services
To run our business we use a small number of trusted providers — for example web hosting, email (Microsoft 365), domain registries and accounting software. Your information is only shared with these providers to the extent needed to deliver our services, and some providers may store data outside Australia. We choose reputable providers with strong security practices.
How we protect it
Information is stored in access-controlled systems, protected by encryption in transit (HTTPS), strong authentication and regular backups. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Client website data
Where we host or maintain your website, we act as a service provider for any personal information your site collects from your own customers. That data belongs to you; we access it only to provide the services you've engaged us for.
Access, correction & complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to legal record-keeping requirements). If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us and we'll do our best to resolve it promptly. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
